Our story
The name says it all.
Omateko carries the names of the people who built it: Oma from Omeheke, Te from Tessa, Ko from Kobus. Three names, one home.
For over ten years it has stood on the B6 just outside Gobabis, and today it continues in the same spirit: to welcome travellers off the Trans-Kalahari, to give the Omaheke community a place to gather, and to grow Namibian tourism by doing one thing exceptionally well: making people feel at home.
